Concordia Textiles is your global textile technology application partner. Founded in 1925 we are a vertical integrated producer of synthetic fabrics for end uses in fashion and in technical textiles with plants in Belgium & China. We deliver fabrics for job wear (high visibility, flame retardant, antistatic, army), fashion and sportswear, medical (operation theatre gowns and drapes, nurses uniforms) and industrial applications (automotive, outdoor applications, roller blinds, etc...).
We provide a total solution (fabrics and garment service) based on world class manufacturing (ISO 9001, REACH and “oeko-tex “compliant in all our plants). We are vertically integrated from preparing weave beams to finished fabrics. The hi-tech weaving mill includes projectile, airjet and rapier looms up to 390cm width. The dye house consists of different continuous and discontinuous dyeing machines supported by a fully automated dye kitchen. Rotary screen printing is possible for fashion designs and technical prints (e.g. camouflage + IR reflection). Different finishing techniques, also on large width, and a direct coating and lamination division make every solution possible.
Concordia Textiles has 3 different business units to give the adequate quality service to different market. The first level is a quick delivery in Europe from our European production site. For the manufacturing in Asia we can deliver a like for like product from our Chinese production site Concordia Advanced Fabrics Suzhou. Our third level is the garment service where we facilitate our customers in delivering full product out of Asia.
Concordia Textiles invests yearly in the protection of our environment. Special care is taken on the water treatment and the regenerative thermal afterburner. All our products used are REACH compliant (in Europe and Asia).
The Research & Development department of Concordia Textiles is the beating heart of the group. The product managers, who are experts on their market segment, steer the R&D department to develop the right products for their end users. Concordia Advanced Fabrics ( Suzhou ) is Concordia Textiles’ production plant in China. We control the weaving and dyeing and can finish, coat and laminate on the state of the art production facilities. The production facility is supported by a quality lab that can provide numerous tests complying with different standards, European and Asian. The equipment has a European origin and the technicians are educated in our European facilities. Our lab has been accredited by an organization as SGS.
We can support on a fabric level with QC managers and sales. For the fashion and sportswear the focus lies on lightweights and functional coatings. In the technical textiles collection the qualities are certified by European accredited labs to the EN standards for PPE.
